The conference encourage submissions for the following kinds of presentations:
Thematic Symposia: clusters of related research talks (3 to 4) organised around an important topic (90 minutes total).
- For symposia, all information should be submitted by the symposia’s chair/lead.The following information should be included in the submission:
- the chair’s name, affiliation, and contact information; the chair should be the corresponding author
- the names, affiliations, and contact information of the session presenters, added as additional authors
- the session title, a long abstract (250 to 500 words max) for peer review, and and a brief abstract (500 characters max) for the program
Individual Talks: research/lightning or flash talks in a compact format (up to 10 minutes), which the conference team will organise into thematic sessions (90 minutes total). Lightning or flash talks is where speakers present their ideas in a short, engaging manner.
Posters: to cut down on poster printing and tube-carrying, the “posters” will be crisp talks that present a study to the audience using only 1 slide and 3 minutes max, using a “three minute thesis” format. Posters will be combined into 50-minute sessions.
- For individual talks and for posters, please submit:
- the authors’ names and affiliations
- title
- a long abstract (250 to 300 words max) for peer review.
Interactive Digital Posters: Participants are also encouraged participants to create interactive digital posters, which can include videos, animations, and other engaging elements.

Paper Publication Submission Deadline: 15 February 2025
You are asked to follow these guidelines when submitting an abstract for oral, poster or online presentation:
*Abstracts should be no longer than one A4 page in portrait layout
*The title of the abstract should be as concise as possible and should appear in bold, lower case and centred
*Co-
*Main body of text to be left aligned
*Single spacing throughout
*References, denoted by superscript numbers in the text, should be listed at the end of the text using Harvard referring style
The use of figures, graphs and tables in the abstract IS NOT ALLOWED
Please include your full address and contact details of the main author and the presenting author in the email and indicate whether you are submitting an oral, a poster or an online presentation

Guidelines for submitting a paper:
- The papers will be published and made freely accessible from the conference website and each registered participant will get a free print copy. We aim to produce Conference Books of professional and consistent quality. We will be grateful for your help by carefully following the instructions outlined in this guide.
- Authors will need to be registered for the conference and present the paper in person or online in order for the paper to be accepted into the conference proceedings. It is not necessary for all authors to attend, only one author needs to be on hand to present, although we certainly encourage co-
authors to attend.
- Absolute deadline, for standard registration, to send in your revised paper following peer review: 30 May 2025
